An Emirati official commits to “Hemedti” to provide COVID19 vaccine to Sudan

 

In a phone conversation between Sudan and the UAE, a high-ranking Emirati official pledged to the deputy Chairperson of the TSC to provide quantities of Coronavirus vaccine to Sudan.

The deputy President of the TSC in Sudan, LTG Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, confirmed the commitment of the UAE to provide COVID19 vaccine.

The office of the TSC stated that the vaccines are scheduled to arrive within days, provided by the Deputy PM and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support Sudan’s efforts to fight the pandemic.

Sudan has recorded nearly 23,000 confirmed cases of COVID19 since the virus reached the country in March 2019.

Today, Tuesday Hemedti had contacted the officials of the UAE to discuss the course of bilateral relations and issues of common interest in addition to regional and international developments.

Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk left last week to  UAE on an unofficial visit, for medical examinations.
