Israel announced that it would finalize a diplomatic agreement with Sudan to normalize relations between the two countries, at a signing ceremony hosted by Washington within three months.
Sudan concluded a peace agreement with Israel, under US sponsorship October last year.
“The draft peace agreement is making progress, and a signing ceremony between Israel and Sudan is expected in Washington in the next three months.” said Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen.
The Minister of Justice, Nasredeen Abdulbari, signed the Abraham Accord, which provides for the entry of the signatory countries to enter a state of peace and cooperation with Israel.
Cohen ended a secret visit to Sudan, on Monday, in which he discussed the issue of moving forward in the normalization of relations between Khartoum and Tel Aviv.
