China, Sudan hold online Foreign Ministry Consultation
China and Sudan, represented by Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li and the Undersecretary of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry Mohammed Sharif Abdallah respectively, held a virtual Foreign Ministry Political Consultation between the two countries.

Deng Li, the Assistant Foreign Minister from China, stressed on the emphasis China has placed on developing relations with Sudan, and its willingness to work with Sudan to safeguard each other’s core interests.
The Chinese government representative also reiterated his government’s willingness to consolidate communication and cooperation with Sudan in order to “promote the continuous development of China –Sudan, China-Arab, and China-Africa relations.”
For his part, the undersecretary of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, Mohammed Sharif Abdallah, congratulated China on its 100th anniversary since the establishment of the Communist Party of China, and the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Abdallah stated that China “is always a good friend and a good partner of Sudan” and expected “continuous assistance and support from China in politics, economy and other fields.”
The Sudanese official expressed Sudan’s readiness to “cement pragmatic cooperation with China under the Belt and Road framework, actively respond to the Global Development initiative, and work with China to safeguard the common interests of developing countries.”
Both Deng Li and Mohammed Sharif Abdallah also exchanged views on regional issues.
