Khartoum: AlTaghyeer
On Monday, the Central Committee of Sudan Doctors announced the killing of two protesters in new demonstrations in the Sudanese capital.
The death toll from the protests has risen to 80 since the morning of the army coup on October 25, 2021.
In a statement, the committee said that the protesters were killed by a direct hit by gunshot wounds, while participating in the February 14 procession in Khartoum.
The coup forces continued to exercise excessive repression against the protesters, causing severe injuries, some of them with live and rubber bullets, and cases of suffocation from tear gas.
The city of Omdurman witnessed one of the largest processions, where protesters broke a security cordon and reached the parliament headquarters, despite the excessive violence.
In Khartoum, the protesters reached the beginnings of Al-Qasr Street, after which they were confronted by a security arsenal that impeded their march.
The protesters participated in the demonstration calling for the release of detainees, in response to the calls made by the coordination of the resistance committees in the capital, Khartoum.
