The Sudanese Resistance Committees set a new date for the introduction of the “Proposal for the Establishment of the People’s Authority” which was postponed from last Sunday.

Khartoum: AlTaghyeer

The Coordination of the Resistance Committees of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, announced the inauguration of the “Proposal of the Charter for the Establishment of People’s Authority” on Sunday, to be “a lifeline and a new beginning for the restoration of democracy.”

In a press statement, the Coordination said that the delay that accompanied the announcement was for further refinement and revision.

The charter was to be introduced last Sunday, but the committees postponed it to a later date.

In a statement last week, the Resistance Committees attributed the postponement to “technical reasons related to the state’s media.”

They confirmed the completion of all technical, legal and linguistic stages of the charter, and noted that it is subject to the final presentation stage on the revolutionary rules in order to authorize its publication as an initial version that can be “added to, modified and deleted.”

In a statement, Friday, the committees stated that the charter came after extensive consultation and discussion.
