Martyr Ahmed Al-Khair’s brother: we will not pardon thugs who enjoyed torturing innocent people
Martyr Ahmed Al-Khair’s brother reinstates their rejection for pardon of those convicted for torturing his brother to death 2019, warning that lack of punishment implementation will encourage crimes to thrive.

Sudanese court has sentenced to death 30 officers and privates affiliated to the General Intelligence after finding them guilty of torturing to death Al-Khair in the east Sudan’s Kasala State during the protests that led to the overthrow of Al-Bashir regime.
Addressing a mediation group that seek to secure his pardon in a clemency plea for the perpetrators, Al-Khair’s brother, Saad, on Friday underlined that “my brother was killed by torture which is against the Sudanese values. It is a conduct that is totally against the moral standards of our society”.
He then added “you ask me to pardon a person who does not deserve pardoning. You had seen them shouting when the court sentenced them to death (we are lions. We are monsters. We don’t fear death) how do you want me to pardon such thugs who used to enjoy torturing others, shielded by powers protecting them”.
