The voluntary organization “Moves” has revealed that the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) has refused to renew its registration because security authorities have objections against its work of supportng martyrs’ families. The last of these activities was the organization’s contribution to purchase a house for the family of martyr Sit Alnofoor Bakar.
Moves is a women organization active in providing support for health sector, rain and flood affected people, poor and orphans.
An official at the organization said in a message that HAC officials told them, after they asked for so many documents, to spare their time because they will not ultimately be pre-registered as some security circles have reservations against its activities.
The security circles reservations include the organization’s support for the martyrs families and contribution to buy a house for the family of Sit Alnofoor; the 24 year old girl who was killed during a demonstration against coup leaders in Khartoum North, 17 November 2021.
Moves explained in the message that it’s leaders have been interrogated many times about their political affiliation and why they do help in purchasing a house for the martyr family. The organization said it’s members have assured the security officials many a time that it is a registered organization and they supported Sit Alnofoor’s family because she was the main breadwinner of a family that consists of elderly, children of dead sister and a brother with mental disorder.
