Coup authorities blamed for violent incidents in Darfur
Violent incidents erupted in Tundalti area of West Darfur on Thursday and Friday leading to displacement of hunreds of civilians and creating humanitarian crisis situations.

The General Coordination of the IDPs and Refugees blamed the Sudan’s coup authorities for the violence in which 3 people were killed.
The Sudanese Doctors Central Committee said one of the victims was shot dead while two others were stabed to death.
The violence erupted Thursday after militias killed a merchant, Mustafa Adam Yusuf, inside his home in Tundalti area.
Spokesman for the General Coordination of the IDP’s and Refugees, Adam Rijal, blamed the security organs in the area for the sad and deplorable incidents that occurred following the killing of the merchant. “With the advent of Ramadan we lost innocent souls, Tundalti area was burned, its citizens tendered displaced and all properties inside the houses and within the market place were looted” Rijal said.
He said “the Coordination held the coup’s authorities at the state and federal levels responsible for the sorrowful incidents perpetrated by their militias against unarmed civilians in West Darfur and failure to maintain law and order in the country; a matter that encourages criminals to engage in more human rights violations in the Sudan and Datfur in particular”.
Darfur 24 site said the violence in Tundalti area has forced hundreds of civilians to flee into neighboring Chad.
Director of West Darfur Police, lit General Ammar Zain Alabdin said the State’s Security Committee has dispatched joint forces to maintain security at the area. He said the situation was now brought under control.
