Khartoum: Altaghyeer
In an address marking the anniversary of April 6, 1985 Popular Uprising, leader of the coup Abdul Fatah Al Burhan has pledged to complete the ongoing political process soonest possible in a way that leave no room for sedition.
Al Burhan said signing the final political agreement was delayed for the purpose of laying down solid foundations that will maintain the revolution and its momentum.
Al Burhan address came days after signing of the final political agreement was delayed from the set date, April 1st, due to differences between the army and the RSF over technical questions related to integrating the latter into the army.
The integration was discussed in a workshop on reform of military and security institutions organized in Khartoum, March 26-29.
The workshop was the last of conferences and workshops organized to discuss five main issues before signing of the final political agreement according to which a new civilian-led transitional government will be formed.
