Khartoum: Altaghyeer
The Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC), the Central Council, has described the release of disolved National Congress Party leaders from Kober Prison a confirmation that the deposed regime and it’s disolved party are the moving force behind the current fighting that erupted on April 15, 2023.
Senior leader within the dissolved National Congress Party, Ahmed Haroon who is sought by the ICC, has surprised the Sudanese people by a voice recording in which he spoke on behalf of the Ingaz companions in Kober.
Haroon said in his statement that they were now out of the prison compounds and that they would secure their own protection. He said they stand ready to present themselves before the competent judicial authorities when re-established. He appealed to supporters of his outlawed parry to back the army against the Rapid Support Fòrces.
Confirmation of the facts
The FFC’s Executive Office said in statement that Haroon’s statement has confirmed the facts they had pointed to before the eruption of the fighting between the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support. “The toppled regime and it’s disolved party, acting via their cronies in the Armed Forces and the regular forces, are the source of the fighting that started in April 15 with the aim of reinstating the corrupt tyrannical junta by all means” the FFC said.
“Their presence within the current scene and getting out of prison at this time will further inflame the fighting because they are a group who committed the most hienus crimes and stood behind wars, split the country and killed and displaced millions. Their statement revealed their clear intention to refuel and spread the conflict; an unsurprising action by a regime which killed it’s citizens” the FFC said.
Stance against defunct regime’s supporters
The FFC warned that the current war which was waged by the deposed regime to serve its own interests would lead to the disintegration of the country.
The FFC has urged Sudanese to steadfast their stance against evil plots by the defunct regime’s supporters which threaten to undetmine the country’s unity, security and sovereignty.
The FFC renewed its appeal to the leaders of the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to stop the fighting immediately. It stressed that solution for these disputes will be attained through peaceful political means.
