Sudanese Army says it repulsed RSF attack on Armoured Corps
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) refuted announcement by the RSF on controlling large areas within the Armoured Corps camp in Khartoum.

The SAF on Monday announced repulsing a new RSF militia attack on the Armoured Corps and Ammunition Complex at Al Shajara Military Area, southern quarters of Khartoum.
Since mid April, fierce battles have been taking place in the capital Khartoum and other cities claiming the lives of thousands of people and displacing nearly four million besides huge damage on the infrastructure and economy.
The intensive fighting between the SAF and RSF militia around the Armoured Corps continued for two successive days.
The militia announced on Monday that it had controlled large parts of the Armoured Corps camp at Al Shajara Military Area.
It said its troops have inflicted heavy losses on the SAF and seized immense military equipment and machineries.
But the SAF Spokesperson, Nabeel Abdallah, refuted in a statement on Monday evening the militia claims affirming that they were defeated and that they sustained huge losses.
The Spokesperson accused the militia of shelling Wad Al Bakheit quarter north of Omdurman leaving one person dead and several others injured.
He said the army troops have launched intensive combing operations in Omdurman and southern Khartoum besides activities of the Special Operations Groups in the capital’s three sister cities.
Since the outbreak of the war the two parties have been trading accusations on committing crimes and violations of human rights besides claims of field control and victory.
