Civil forces in Eastern Sudan warn against continued mobilization for war
Civil and political forces in Eastern Sudan affirmed the people in the region are not happy with continuation of the war with it’s negative impact on livelihood and the region resources, underling the need to end the war.

Civil and political forces in Eastern Sudan have expressed concerns about military mobilization in the states of the region particularly in Port Sudan, capital of Red Sea State.
The Forces have strongly warned against using Eastern Sudan as a platform and launching pad for continuation of fighting a matter that will spread the war and endangering civilian lives in the area.
President of the coup Sovereign Council-cum-Army Commander, Abdel Fattah Al Burhan and most members of the status quo government are using Port Sudan as a venue for their activities and meetings. Al Burhan has visited a number of military units in the state calling for defeating the rebellion – the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) – involved in war with the army for more than four months now.
Some leaders of the deposed regime of the dictator Omer Al Bashir showed up earlier in eastern Sudan where they advocsted for siding with the army in its war with the RSF as well as arming the tribes.
The civil and political forces in Eastern Sudan reiterated in a statement on Saturday their neutral position vis a vis the war, encouraging the warring parties to work for bringing peace.
