Sudanese film “Goodbye Julia” wins three French prestigious awards
Mohamed Al Kordofani‘s debut Sudanese film “Goodbye Julia” grabbed three prestigious awards at the 2023 Festival Paysages de Cinéastes in France.

The three awards are the Youth Jury Award, the Audience Award and the Women’s Jury Award.
Goodbye Julia has previously won the Freedom Award at Cannes International Film Festival.
At Al Gouna Film Festival in Egypt, the film nabbed three awards: MAD Solutions’ Grant Award, the Best Film Project in the Development Phase (earning a cash prize of $15,000), a certificate from Al Gouna Cinema Platform, a Mentorship Prize from the IEFTA and the New Century Prize of $10,000.
Goodbye Julia is written and directed by Mohamed Al Kordofani, who has won many awards as a filmmaker, and starred by the Sudanese actor/singer Ieman Yousif and former Miss South Sudan Siran Riak.
The film was produced by the Sudanese film maker Amjad Abuelela whose film “You will die at twenty” received wide acclaim and awards in regional and international film festivals
