Tasabih Diab, 28, is the first Sudanese to compete in the Miss Global beauty pageant attracting thousands of Sudanese social media users, some are critical other supportive, but all remain interested to see their national taking this strike.

The majority are on her side, saying her competing in the pageant was “a spot of light” in the dark war time. Many think her features and brown colour do really reflect the Sudanese identity.

But, of course, there are bullying comments. Some said she is not the most beautiful girl in Sudan let alone the world while others criticized her for what they thought ‘infringing the boundaries of the Sudanese female traditions’.

Tasabih announced on her social media pages “I am more than glad to have this chance to represent my country Sudan at Miss Global 2023 and reflect our culture and traditions.”

Based in Dubai, UAE, Tasabih was born in Khartoum in August 12, 1995.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, banking and finance from the Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Science 2015.

She is one of the most followed Sudanese digital creators on social media with thousands of followers.

She worked first in the real estate then moved to online content founding her brand ‘Bronze Beauty Cosmetics’.

Miss Global is an international beauty pageant established in 2013, and one of the international pageants.
