Informed sources told Altaghyeer that the SAF and RSF leaders have agreed to hold a direct meeting in response to an IGAD request.
The two leaders were involved in an intense fighting over power since mid-April leaving thousands killed and millions displaced while the fighting increasingly spread to other parts of the country.
The two leaders have agreed to meet in person at a request from the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) during an extraordinary summit held in Djibouti early this month on the situations in Sudan.
The sources affirmed to Altaghyeer the RSF leader has left Khartoum to the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting between al-Burhan and Hemedti will be held in an African country, the sources said without specifying which country and when.
The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said on Thursday they reached an agreement the two rival generals should meet and commit to a ceasefire.
