Sudanese female poet wins Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Prize

The Sudanese poet Ms Ebtihal Traitir has been selected among winners of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal .International Prize for Arabic Poetry in its fifth edition
.She won the award in the Diwan ‘Poetry Book’ category which values 100,000 Saudi riya.
The winners were announced in a ceremony held on Sunday under the auspices of Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Arabic Poetry, Prince Khalid Bin Faisal, and in the presence of the Board’s members.
The other categories of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Prize are Poetic Experience (500,000 riyal), Theatrical Poetry (100,000 riyal), Sung Poetry (200,000 riyal), Best Project in Service of Arabic Poetry (100,000 riyal) and the Promising Poet (100,000 riyal).
The winners in these categories are: Abdul Kareem al-Tobal (Morocco), Muhmoud Abdallah Dareesh (Egypt), poet Mahadi Kamil and singer Faya Younan (Lebanon), the Saudi magazine Alyamama and Saudi students respectively.
