Indonesia provides $1 million in emergency medical aid to Sudan
The assistance is a reflection of the close relations between the two sisterly countries and aimed at easing impacts of the current situation in Sudan on the health sector.

The Indonesian Government announced it is sending emergency medical aid containong medical equipment and medicines with a total value of one million dollars to Sudan to alleviate impacts of the current situation on the Sudanese people.
Sudan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Yasir Mohamed Ali, said in a press statement the aid is a reflection of the close relations between the two sisterly countries and aimed at easing impacts of the current situation in Sudan on the health sector.
The Ambassador said he is exerting tireless efforts in coordination with the Indonesian concerned parties to facilitate sending of this assistance.
In November, the Indonesian Government, represented by the Red Cross Society, sent a container containing medical equipment and medicines to Sudan.
Local and international organisations have warned of gross humanitarian crisis in Sudan due to lack of medicines for the people stranded in fighting zones.
Since eruption of the war between the Sudanese army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in April 2023, more than 90 percent of the medicines factories and 41 medicines companies have went out of service.
