Air strikes on North Kordofan village kill 14, mostly children
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched on Saturday air strikes targeting civilian gathering in al-Mraikib area which is located 15 kilometers east of the North Kordofan capital, al-Obied.

At least 14 civilians, including 11 children, were killed on Saturday as a result of air strikes carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on al-Mraikib area which is located 15 kilometers east of al-Obied, the capital of centeral Sudan’s North Kordofan State.
Eyewitnesses told Altaghyeer that the SAF’s antonov aircrafts dropped two explosive barrels on a group of people gathering at a water station in the region killing and injuring scores of people including women and children.
The attack has left many people injured, seven of them are in critical condition, said the eyewitnesses.
They affirmed that there was no presence of the Rapid Support Forces, the paramilitary which is fighting the SAF since April 2023, in the area or the neighbouring areas when the planes dropped the bombs
