Omdurman: Altaghyeer
Fierce clashes raged on Wednesday morning between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the western part of Omdurman while at least four civilians were killed when RSF’s random shelling hit a shelter house, eyewitnesses told Altaghyeer.
The eyewitnesses said loud explosions were heard and heavy weaponry was used in the clashes which continued for four hours.
The magnitude of losses on both warring parties is not known, they added.
Meanwhile, the SAF air force intensified strikes targeting RSF bases in Bahri from which artillery shells are fired on Omdurman.
In North Darfur State, clashes between the SAF and RSF renewed in the capital al-Fashir on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the SAF fighting jets conducted strikes on the RSF positions in Kutum city.
