Over million Sudanese flee to Egypt since eruption of war
Egyptian diplomatic mission continue offering visa services for the Sudanese in accordance with direct directives from the Egyptian political leadership, ambassador says.

Some 1.2 million Sudanese citizens have arrived in Egypt since eruption of war, Egypt Ambassador to Sudan said.
This mass influx reflects how difficult the situation they face and Egypt’s commitment to offer them support during this critical stage, Ambassador Hani Salah Mustafa said in press statements.
He underlined that his country continues considering all initiatives proposed for resolving the Sudanese crisis out of keenness on Sudan stability and welfare of its people.
The Egyptian Cabinet has recently approved a one-year extension for foreigners to streamline their legal stay in the country.
The number of the Sudanese who enter Egypt through smuggling has increased particularly after the Rapid Support Forces seized the Gezira State and some parts of other states.
At the beginning of the war in Sudan, Egyptian authorities allowed thousands of Sudanese to enter their territories through easy procedures but as the war protracted and the number of those who want to flee to Egypt increases, the procedures became more complicated a matter that forced the Sudanese to resort to illegal migration practices
