Sudan: drone hit a bus killing most of the 45 passengers
The incident proved that the ongoing war has transgressed all ethical standards as its two sides resorted to targeting innocent civilians directly by air and artillery shelling.
Rabak: Altaghyeer
A civil bus carrying more than 45 people travelling from Rabak town in White Nile State to Khartoum was hit by a drone resulting in burning of the vehicle and killing almost all passengers aboard.
The incident was reported on Thursday by the Umma political party and eyewitnesses.
The Party strongly condemned this “heinous crime which is considered a war crime, a crime against humanity and flagrant violation of human rights”.
The party said in a statement that the crime “proved that the ongoing war has transgressed all ethical standards as its two sides resorted to targeting innocent civilians directly by air and artillery shelling as well as unabated violations, a matter that necessitates its immediate ending”.
The 17 month long violent fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has left more than 15,000 dead and displaced over 20 million people.
