$11 millions-fund launched to secure insulin for diabetic children in Sudan

The Sudanese Childhood Diabetes Association and partners have provided insulin refrigerated containers and medicinal supplies for younger diabetic patients.

The Sudanese Childhood Diabetes Association and its partners have provided medical supplies worth 11 million dollars for the benefit of younger diabetic patients.

The medical supplies include 40 foot insulin refrigerated containers and drugs.

The fund launching ceremony was organized in Port Sudan in collaboration with the federal Ministry of Health.

The acting Minster, Haythem Mohamed Ibrahim, praised the Association for the huge efforts it has been exerting to secure the required insulin supplies for the children since the eruption of the war indicating that his Ministry has faced tremendous difficulties in providing the vital medicines because of the war.

He also hailed the donors including “Direct Relief” and partners which contributed significantly in making available insulin for children during the last months.
