Eight civilians killed in Sudan’s RSF attack against village

 

The attack is one of a series of incidents authored by the RSF on al-Gezira villages since it controlled the State in December last year.

At least 8 civilians were killed and many others injured when the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked Ommlaiha village in al-Gezira State, centeral Sudan, the Sudan’s Doctors Trade Union said on Saturday.

The Union condemned the attack which took place on Friday considering it a horrible escalation of violence against unarmed civilian villagers and called on regional and international human rights organisations to take necessary measures to hold the perpetrators accountable and to protect the civilians.

The attack is one of a series of incidents authored by the RSF on al-Gezira villages since it controlled the State in December last year.

The paramilitary is charged with committing wide range of crimes including looting, killing, kidnapping and detaining of civilians in areas under its control.
