Sudan’s status quo government reiterated commitment to facilitate delivery of humanitarian assistance to all parts of the country.

The government has agreed to open 6 provincial airports including Kassala, (east Sudan), Dongola (north Sudan), al-Obied (centeral western Sudan) and Kadugli (south Sudan) for the international organizations to transport humanitarian assistance.

The government has already agreed to allow delivery of assistance through seven borders crossing points, Sudan’s Sovereign Council media centre said on Friday.

“The government has now fulfilled its commitments to facilitate delivery of assistance across land, air and sea within the efforts aimed to mitigate the people suffering”, the centre said.

The government called on the international community to fulfil its pledges to offer assistance and pressure the Rapid Support Forces to stop obstructing delivery of assistance.
