The Kuwaiti Patients Helping Fund has implemented a project for sheltering Inteenal Displaced Persons (IDP) arriving from eastern part of al-Gezira State to Nahr al-Neel (River Nile) State.
The Fund installed 127 tents in two areas alloted for the displaced people in Atbra and al-Damer towns.
Director of the Fund office in Nahr al-Neel State, Ammar Salah Othman, said the project is an urgent response to mitigate suffering of the displaced people and it is supported by the Kuwait-based Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage.
The Kuwiti Patient Helping Fund also offers medical services to the displaced people through mobile clinics.
Nahr al-Neel State hosts thousands of families who have fled the eastern part of al-Gezira State in centeral Sudan to avoid atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces in its nearly a month of retaliatory attacks following defection of its top leader in al-Gezira
