Omdurman: Altaghyeer

Four people were killed and 43 others injured in Wad al-Bakheet neighbourhood of Omdurman following a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) artillery shelling, Saturday, Khartoum State’s Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Since September, confrontations between the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) intensified in Khartoum State, composed of three cities: Khartoum, Omdurman and Bahri, using artillery shelling, airstrikes and drones.

In Bahri, the SAF repulsed on Saturday an attack by the RSF on a SAF’s unit that controls an area in the eastern part of the city, sources told Altaghyeer.

The two parties are involved in fierce fighting around SAF’s Signal Corps which is besieged by the RSF from three directions, since the start of war in mid-April 2023.
